Circular hike at the Wysswasser from Fiesch to Fieschertal and back

open
  • start: Fiesch, parking lot Fiesch Eggishorn cable cars
  • destination: Fieschertal, bus stop

The starting point is the parking lot of the Fiesch-Eggishorn cable car. On the outbound journey, take the wheelchair path to Fieschertal. The wide, gently ascending path leads along the west side of the glacier stream Wysswasser to the village square of Fieschertal. Along the way, you pass the viaduct of the Matterhorn Gotthard railway, the children's ski lift Blätz, and the large children's playground Fieschertal. On the barrier-free path, wheelchair users or people with mobility impairments also have the opportunity to enjoy the landscape. The return route runs on the other side of the river via the Bregeraweg. Passing the hamlet of Wichel and over Hämischbode, you hike back to Fiesch. The path leads through a wonderfully shady forest, on the last stage it runs parallel to the Wysswasser. On this section, a short, easy ascent must be mastered before you reach the old valley station of the Fiesch-Eggishorn cable cars. Alternatively, you can take the postbus back to Fiesch from Fieschertal.
