From Bettmeralp, stroll gently eastwards across wide Alpine meadows with fine views down into the village centre. The path takes you past the Bättmer Hitta and Lake Bettmersee to the Laxeralp, then continues along a well-made ridge trail to Fiescheralp. Along the way, you are treated to many splendid views of the Valais four-thousand-metre peaks and the Rhône valley. When you reach Fiescheralp, you can stop for something to eat at one of the mountain restaurants before taking the cable car down to Fiesch.
