The starting point is the mountain station of the Bettmeralp cable car. First, cross the lower village part of Bettmeralp. With a wonderful panoramic view of the Valais mountain scenery, the path leads past charming chalets and the Alpmatten ski lift towards Ried. Over generously laid-out switchbacks, you hike down through snow-covered alpine meadows and the Maiensässe Domo and Breiten to the Egga. From here it is not far to Betten Dorf. In this beautifully situated Valais village, you should definitely plan a village walk! There are still many traditional Valais houses here. Afterwards, you take the cable car back up to Bettmeralp or downwards to Bettmeralp valley station.
