From the top station of the Bettmeralp aerial cableway, you hike through the village of Bettmeralp, past the chapel Maria zum Schnee, to the Hotel Alpfrieden. Then follow the path leading to the Restaurant Walliserstube. Here begins the Lischa winter hiking trail. After a short ascent, the path turns westward. Enjoy the magnificent view of the Matterhorn and the surrounding mountains. After an easy descent, you reach the Bachtla sports center and the valley station of the Bettmerhorn gondola. From here, you hike back through the village of Bettmeralp to the top station of the Bettmeralp aerial cableway, as on the outward journey.
