The Konkordiahütte is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular mountain huts in the world. With 155 sleeping places, it is the largest hut in the Swiss Alpine Club and, despite its remoteness, it is also at the forefront in terms of overnight stays every year.
Its location on the edge of the largest Alpine glacier, with a magnificent view of the vast sea of ice, lined with famous peaks on its banks, is reason enough to visit this mystical place.
The wild and long climbs and, last but not least, the never-ending staircase up to the Eagle's Nest are not enough of an exertion to combat the sublime feeling you get when you look down from the hut terrace.
What we as hut wardens add to this is almost negligible - but not quite!
