First on the mountain
First Track Bettmerhorn allows you to experience the perfect start to your day skiing in Valais and to be the first to carve your way through the freshly groomed snow. Take the 8:00 gondola lift from the Bettmerhorn valley station up to Bettmerhorn. As you start a new day of skiing in the early morning hours, first pause for a moment to enjoy the breathtaking sight of the Great Aletsch Glacier.
A great activity for early risers
From 31 December 2025
Groups will be divided depending on the number of participants and accompanied by experienced ski instructors. In a sporty spirit, you’ll enjoy several downhill runs before the regular opening hours. After this impressive piste experience, the gondola takes you back up to the Bettmerhorn.
From 25 March 2026
Due to the earlier operating start (8:30 instead of 9:00), only one First Track descent will take place.
The red slope on the Bettmerhorn is only suitable for advanced skiers. The skiing level must be at least Red Star for children and level 4 for adults.
With or without breakfast
If you have booked the «First Track Pure» experience, you can ski the whole range of slopes from 9:00 on. Booking the «First Track with Breakfast» allows you to enjoy a hearty breakfast in the charming Restaurant Bättmerhitta until 10:00. Afterwards you can return to the slopes refreshed.
The booking does not include the Bettmeralp – Bettmerhorn cable car ticket. All participants must have a valid ski pass as well as the additional First Track booking. Please purchase your ski pass in advance from the webshop or from one of the Aletsch Bahnen AG ticket counters. Ski passes are not on sale on the morning of the First Track! They must be purchased by 12:00 on the previous day.
