4th king stage: Bettmeralp - Bettmerhorn - Bettmeralp - Betten - Mörel

closed
  • start: Bettmeralp, Bettmerhorn cable car
  • destination: Mörel, valley station

Take the Bettmerhorn gondola up to the View Point Bettmerhorn and enjoy the panoramic view of the Great Aletsch Glacier before you start your route. On the king stage, you can look forward to the longest and most demanding trail of the cable car tour. It gets intense right from the start, with technically challenging passages and large rock slabs that you ride over. At Hohbalm, however, you have the option to switch to an easier route via Schönbiel. Upon arrival in Bettmeralp, you ride on the road through the village and through the Bettmeralp mountain station. Near the end of the village, turn right onto the trail. On this trail, you continue downhill to the hamlet Domo and Betten village. During your descent, you repeatedly cross the paved road. If you need a break, you can also follow this road for a short stretch. Then you cross through Betten village. After that follows another long singletrail section until just before Mörel, where you join the road and cycle to the valley station of the Riederalp cable car in Mörel.

Note: Please ride the section Bettmerhorn - Biel at off-peak times in summer out of consideration for hikers.
