On this hike, you’ll get to see the Aletsch Glacier up close – an incredible experience high up in the Alps that you’ll never forget. Local guides will show you the fascinating phenomena of the perpetual ice as they share fascinating facts about the Great Aletsch Glacier and its history on the Aletsch Glacier hike.
The two-day Aletsch Glacier hike sets out from Fiesch or on the Fiescheralp. After taking the cable car to Eggishorn, you head down to the Gletscherstube mountain hut on Lake Märjelen, which is the starting point for the glacier circular hike. You return to Fiescheralp through the illuminated Tälligrat tunnel.
Total approximate walking time 6 hours (2- to 3-hour tour on the Aletsch Glacier)
Dates: everyday from end of une until beginning of October

Equipment requirements: trekking shoes (good grip), hat, sunglasses, walking stick, packed lunch and drinks; shorts are unsuitable on the glacier (wind). The technical equipment (climbing harness) is provided.
