UNESCO Aletsch forest - Snowshoe trekking

On the UNESCO Aletsch Forest snowshoe hike, the cable car takes you up to the Gletscherblick panoramic viewing point on Moosfluh with its stunning glacier vista. This winter hike in the Aletsch Arena provides wonderful views of Valais’ 4000-metre-high peaks. This guided snowshoe hike through the nature reserve passes the Great Aletsch Glacier on the way to Riederfurka. 

Dates: every Wednesday during the winter season
Meeting point: 13.30 meeting point Alpenrose, Riederalp
Guide: Ski school Riederalp
Equipment: ski poles, good footwear (ankle-high), warm clothing, sunglasses, gloves, hat, rucksack with drink and a small snack
Snowshoes are provided by the ski school
