The starting point of the route is the public transport hub in Fiesch. It starts relatively flat to warm up, passing through Wiler towards Lax. From there the climbing begins: More specifically a 12 km long, mostly unpaved but well-rideable forest and alpine road, where you cycle through tight switchbacks through forests and later over alpine pastures to Fiescheralp. You will have already gained a proud 1,200 meters of elevation after this section; the biggest climb is thus done. From Fiescheralp the route leads past the cable car station over a 6 km long alpine road further towards Märjela. The inclines on this part of the route are only moderate, and at Oberes Tälli a magnificent view of the Fiescher glacier opens up. The last stage leads through the illuminated Tälligrat tunnel directly to the Glacier Stube, where you can refresh yourself with Wallis specialties.
